The former fashion editor Susi Bellamy describes her eye-catching cushions as ‘art for the sofa’ – or, in this case, the bed. The textiles are digitally printed with designs she paints on to canvas using layers of rich, marbled colour. Taking inspiration from the texture of ancient palazzo walls in Italy, where Bellamy lived for a time, the silky surfaces have impressive depth. £95 each.

Hand-painted in Kashmir, these bright enamel trays are typical of the cheerful fare sourced by Raj Tent Club. In 2013 Charlotte Gaisford was invited to the Hermitage, a late-18th-century house on the banks of the River Tyne, by Jane Allgood, whose family had owned the property for generations to replace sections of handpainted Chinoiserie wallpaper in the listed building, which proved to be both a challenging and inspirational: Gaisford’s first range of textiles is based on some of the designs, but rather than being exact relicas they are fresh interpretations, that look just right for now.
