Dayton House to host Holiday Extravaganza

WORTHINGTON — It may seem early for holiday planning, but with winter right around the corner, the Dayton House Tour and Events committee is preparing to give people a helping hand.

From 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, the Dayton House will host a Holiday Extravaganza, complete with holiday gift shopping, decorating ideas and a wine and cheese bar.

“It takes a lot of money to keep the Dayton House up and running, and this is one of our two big fundraisers each year,” said Marlene Jueneman, co-chair of the event. “We’re very excited about a new look and new vendors, plus the return of some favorite vendors.”

In the past, the event was called the Fall Market Place and featured more of a fall theme, but this year things will be a bit different, she explained.

The Holiday Extravaganza is more focused on Christmas and winter decorations and gift items.
